Kevin McDaid was born on March 7 1984 in Nigeria, but was brought up in Newcastle, England. He was best known as member of the now-defunct British boy band V, which he joined in 2003 along with four other boys. The band had three fairly successful chart hits during 2004, before splitting up in February 2005, less than a year after their first single was released.

Kevin did not stay out of the public's attention for long, however. In August 2005 he was announced in The Sun newspaper as the long-term boyfriend of Westlife member Mark Feehily. They had been a couple since January 2005.

The couple own a pet pug named Saffy.

He appeared on the front cover of the December 2007 issue of Attitude with Mark Feehily.
