census GR|2 of 2000, there were 1,367 people, 499 households, and 387 families residing in the town. Thepopulation density was 27.4 people per square mile (10.6/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 99.27% White, 0.29% Native American, 0.07% Asian, 0.07% from other races, and 0.29% from two or more races. 0.37% of the population wereHispanic orLatino of any race.There were 499 households out of which 36.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 69.5% were married couples living together, 4.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.4% were non-families. 19.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
