Timothy Jerome "Tim" Kehoe (born
June 13 ,1953 ) is a renowned Americaneconomist and professor at theUniversity of Minnesota . His area of specialty ismacroeconomics andinternational economics .He obtained his undergraduate degree from
Providence College in1975 and hisPh.D. in economics fromYale University in1979 . His Ph.D. supervisor wasHerbert Scarf . Professor Kehoe started his teaching career as a lecturer and then assistant professor atWesleyan University from 1978 to 1980. From 1980 to 1983, he was an assistant professor and then an associate professor at theMassachusetts Institute of Technology . From 1983 to 1987 he was a university lecturer at theUniversity of Cambridge and a fellow ofClare College . Since 1987, he has been a professor at theUniversity of Minnesota . He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by theUniversity of Vigo in 2008.Kehoe is married to historian
Jean O'Brien . His younger brother,Patrick Kehoe , is also a macroeconomic theorist.References
