"The Fox" (1967) is a drama film directed by Mark Rydell. It is based on "The Fox" by D. H. Lawrence. Upon initial release in the USA, it was quite controversial as the MPAA Production Code had been dissolved the year prior -- the new MPAA rating system didn't start until November 1, 1968 -- and this film violated the previously set standards with scenes of nudity and sexuality, including homosexual scenes.
