Philadelphia Flyers in the1977 NHL Amateur Draft after playing for theMedicine Hat Tigers of the WCHL. Peeters played in 489 career NHL games, with a record of 246 wins, 155 losses and 51 ties. He also registered 21 shutouts and a 3.08Goals Against Average .Peeters also played several years for the
Washington Capitals .Mario Lemieux scored his first NHL goal on his first shot against Peeters. Peeters gave up the game winning overtime goal to Bobby Nystrom in the Stanley Cup Finals versus the New York Islanders in the 1979–80 season, which started the 4 consecutive Stanley Cups for the New York Islanders.External links
