Royal College of Defence Studies in 1997. He attended the UK Civil Service Top Management Programme (TMP 58) in2000 .He was awarded the Queen's Police Medal for Distinguished Police Service in the Birthday Honours 2006.
He lives in the
Scottish Borders , is married and has two young children.References
