He won theOutland Trophy as the top college lineman in 1997, and was the only Husker to be awarded All-American honors at two different positions. His jersey number 67 was retired in 1998.After Nebraska, Taylor was drafted in the 7th round of the
1998 NFL Draft by theIndianapolis Colts . Taylor played for the Colts for the first part of the 1998 season before becoming a member of theChicago Bears .
