He was an offensive guard in the NFL, and an offensive tackle at Notre Dame.A graduate of De La Salle High School in
Concord, California , he attended theUniversity of Notre Dame where he was a consensusAll-America n in 1992 and won theLombardi Award in 1993. He was also anOutland Trophy finalist in 1993. Despite being regarded as a member of Notre Dame's top 25 players since 1970, Taylor saw limited success on the football field, retiring after just five years in the NFL. He was a 1994 first-round pick by the Green Bay Packers and was a member of the Packers' 1997Super Bowl XXXI championship team. Taylor remained with the team until 1998 before joining the San Diego Chargers, where he played until his retirement in 1999.Aaron Taylor has broken off negotiations on a contract with ABC Sports. The 33-year-old says he wants to devote more time to the Aaron Taylor Impact Endowment Fund.
