Hall attended the
University of Delaware , and led the Fighting Blue Hens to the 2003Division I-AA National Championship. He transferred to Delaware after starting his career at Georgia Tech. His wife, Mary Melissa, is a former Georgia Tech varsity cheerleader. He was the backup quarterback to George Godsey and was slated to become Georgia Tech's starter after Godsey graduated. However, Tech coachGeorge O'Leary left to go after the Notre Dame job, andChan Gailey took his place. Gailey pickedA.J. Atlantic 10 Conference offensive player of the year. He completed 62 percent of his passes for 2764 yards and added 25 TD passes.
