Woolooware is a railway station on the Cronulla branch of CityRail's Illawarra Line. It is one of the few remaining single platform stations within the CityRail Sydney suburban area, with the line reducing to a single track east of Caringbah.

The station is served by approximately two trains (in each direction) per hour in the off peak, increasing to four during weekday peak hour.

Platforms/Service

Platform 1:
*Illawarra line colour>Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line - all stations and limited stops services to Hurstville, Central and Bondi Junction.
*Illawarra line colour>Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line - all stations services to Cronulla.

Rail Clearways

Under the Rail Clearways project, the single-track sections of the Cronulla branch line will be duplicated, with this project currently expected to be completed in 2009. Woolooware will become an island platform. The old footbridge has been demolished to make way for a new footbridge incorporating lifts for easy access. This project is expected to allow peak hour services to Woolooware to increase to six trains per hour.
