Immaculate Conception School (also known as "ICS") is a Catholic private coeducational day school, founded in 1957, for students in grades Pre-K through 8. It is located in Somerville, New Jersey. The current Principal is Kathleen Gorman and the Pastor to the school is Seamus Brennan. The school is also served by a group of Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Immaculate Conception School is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and the New Jersey Department of Education.
The school's curriculum is based on guidelines set by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Metuchen and the New Jersey Department of Education.
Athletics
Immaculate Conception School competes in the Colonial Hills Conference which comprises eighteen public and parochial high schools covering Essex County, Morris County and Somerset County in west central New Jersey, under the jurisdiction of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA).
Extra-Curricular Activities
There are a number of extra-curricular activities offered by the school. For example, there is basketball, cheerleading, and softball. While others focus on cultural things, likeband, chorus, art club and guitar.i love wikipedia!!!!!!
