Burlescombe is a village and
civil parish in theMid Devon district ofDevon ,England . According to the 2001 census it had a population of 911. The village is about 5 miles south-west of Wellington inSomerset .There is the ruin of a 13th century
nunnery nearby, as well as a 15th century church.As part of the construction of
