Stamford Street is a street in
Lambeth andSouthwark ,London SE1, just south of theRiver Thames . It runs between Waterloo Road to the west andBlackfriars Road to the east. At the western end, in the middle of a largeroundabout , is theBritish Film Institute London IMAX Cinema. On the north side at this end is the Waterloo campus ofKing's College London , theSchiller International School , theEnglish Language Institute andLondon City College . Halfway along to the south is theLondon Nautical School . Also close by to the north are theRoyal National Theatre , theLondon Television Centre and theOxo Tower .King's College London has two buildings at the western end of Stamford Street, theFranklin-Wilkins Building (Cornwall House) to the north and the Stamford Street Apartments opposite to the south on itsWaterloo Campus .The headquarters of the supermarket chain
