Burton Coggles (full name Burton-le-Coggles from Byrton-en-les-Coggles) is a small village located south of

There are 43 houses and the population is little over 100. Until recently the village still retained apost office on " [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/629205 Post Office Lane] ", but public services are now restricted to the [http://www.pjspiepub.co.uk/ Cholmeley Arms]public house (still commonly known as The Hare & Hounds - the house's previous name), and a small village hall. Local services are found inCorby Glen . The village is mainly an agriculture village, but there has been a shift in recent years towards more commuting.The [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/599693 church] is St Thomas a Becket. William Ayscough, the Trinity College-educated brother of
