Redouan Chekkouri

Redouan Chekkouri is a Moroccan, who was detained as a suspected "illegal combatant" in Camp Delta, in the United States naval base, at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Chekkouri was repatriated to Morocco in 2004, along with four other Moroccans.ref|BBC050802 The four were all charged by Moroccan authorities; then released on bail. Chekkouriwas subsequently reincarcerated when new charges were laid.

Allegations

American policy is to refrain from commenting on the allegations against specific detainees.

According to Middle Esst Online Morocco has charged Chekkouri with: "'support for a criminal group by transferring money to Moroccans to create a gang that threatens Morocco's interests', and assistance in forging passports."ref|MEOnline050329According to the Morocco Times Morocco also charged Chekkouri with: "“relations with the Islamic Group of Moroccan Fighters and with al Qaeda.”"ref|MT051112
