Paliometocho (also referred as Palaiometocho) is a village found in the mid East on the island of Cyprus. Paliometocho is inhabited by about 7000 people, and it mainly functions as a suburb of Lefkosia, the capital of Cyprus. It is the second largest village as far as land size on the island. Its name is derived from the Greek "Palio" (old) and "Metochio" (inn). Its name was given to it because it used to be a rest stop used by pilgrims who visited the Kykkos monastery. In the December 17 2006 council and municipal Elections, Christakis Tomazos was elected as Mouchtar of Paliometocho.

The spiritual leadership of the village happens every Easter when the famous and charismatic priest PapaAndreas (father Andreas) says the "Kalo Lo'o" (Good Word). The leadership was relinquished by PapaGiorkis (father George) when he started wanting to go home and eat kefalaki (goat's head) with PapaThkia.
