SHS Marching Band
The Somerville High School Pioneer Marching Band finished off their season performing this years theme, "The Land of Make Believe" at a Competition at Giants Stadium. They scored an overall superior rating of 93.175. The band was led by band director Matthew Krempasky and assisted by Mr. Stephen Lorretti.
Robotics
Somerville's robotics team is Team 102, The Dexterous Gearheads. Team102 participates in the Trenton and Long Island
FIRST regionals. Recent awards include the Judges award in Trenton (2008) and theMotorola Enginnering Design Award at Long Island (2007). The team has been to Atlanta in 2007 and other years prior.Notable alumni
