The Jonesboro Metropolitan Statistical Area, as defined by the
United States Census Bureau , is an area consisting of two counties – Craighead and Poinsett – in northeastArkansas , anchored by the city of Jonesboro. As of the 2000 census, the MSA had a population of 107,762 (though a July 1, 2007 estimate placed the population at 116,402).
