Schoonenberg Stadion

Schoonenberg Stadion is the home ground of the Dutch first-division football team Stormvogels Telstar. It is located in Velsen-Zuid, approximately 25 kilometers west of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It was built in 1936, with renovations in 1999, including the replacement of the east stand, which has been converted to an all-seater stand.

Today, the stadium is comprised of the east stand which holds 1200 people, and an emergency stand built on the north side (the current capacity is 2.039). This is because the original west stand has been deemed unsafe by the Velsen council, rendering it unusable. It is scheduled for renovation over the course of the 2007/08 football season. It will be converted to an all-seater stand holding 1450 people, with several built-in facilities, including improved sponsor seating and new changing rooms.
