[ [http://www.enderbyheritage.org.uk/Html_Factsheet/fact%20sheet%201.htm Fact sheet 1 Enderby Heritage Group ] ]The village
The village is part of the Blaby constituency, which is represented by the Conservative MP
Andrew Robathan in the House of Commons. It is known nationally as the HQ site of the NEXT clothing chain.
The village centre consists of a number of old and very narrow roads especially Conery Lane, with more recent housing developments to the south and west. A disused railway line known locally as ‘Whistle Way’ lies to the north of the village which is said to be haunted and the ghost trains can be heard around halloween, this has since become the western edge of the Enderby area. The old quarry is now an area of woodland, out of bounds to the public and found opposite the Batchelors house, a noble family whoms eldest daughter has run away to join the RAF off in the far away lands of Woodhouse and the Eves. This young lady is to be noted as the next Marshall of the Royal Air Force. This very family are rich beyond their wildest beliefs and share their wealth by frequently putting on large parties and inviting those less wealthy than themselves. This often including a Miss Elisabeth Coles, who actually is an up and coming stage star with a voice of an angel and is damn sexy too. Over and out from the land of BENDERby.
