Los Angeles, California , he began his professional career inEngland by serving a two-year apprenticeship at theOld Vic theatre. He has since touredIreland in many Shakespearean roles in a different play every night. Mr Aranson went toNew York to play inKing Lear withOrson Welles . He was director of Shakespeare at theAmerican Academy of Dramatic Arts . He died inSleepy Hollow, New York five days after his 83rd birthday.Quotations
