European Cup 1964–65

The season 1964-65 of the European Cup football club tournament was won by Internazionale for the second time in row, in a final match against two-time former champions Benfica.

Preliminary round

1 Rangers won a play-off 3–1 to progress to the First Round.

2 Anderlecht progressed to the First Round over Bologna by winning a coin toss after their play-off match ended 0–0.

3 Dukla Prague progressed to the First Round over Górnik Zabrze by winning a coin toss after their play-off match ended 0–0.

1 Liverpool advanced to the Semi Finals over Köln by winning a coin toss after their play-off match ended 2–2.
