Extracurricular activities

The school maintains a wide variety of after school clubs, such as a Fish Tank Club, Games Club, Chocolate Club, Newspaper Club, Current Events Club, Brain Busters, Drama Club, and Science Olympiad. The school also broadcasts a daily student-produced television show known as the "ETV", short for "Eisenhower Television, which is aired live on Wyckoff cable channel 77 each weekday morning when school is in operation as well as on weekends at different times.

Also, there are many sports teams at Eisenhower, including Boys' and Girls' Soccer, Boys' and Girls' Basketball, Girls' Cheerleading, Boys' Baseball, Girls' Softball, and Boys' and Girls' Track-and-Field.

Students also participated in the spring musical, The Music Man.

2006-2007 Construction

Starting in the spring of 2006, a major construction project started. It was the biggest in the history of Wyckoff, and took almost two years to build.

Within old building

Many changes occurred inside as well, including moving the Guidance office from a small room at the end of the hallway to a large, multi-room office, about 1.5 times the size of a normal classrooms. The old Guidance office was made smaller so the room on the other side of the wall could be made into a science classroom, and the old Guidance office is used for Special Education. The summers of 2006 and 2007 were made longer than normal so that the construction inside of the building could be finished without students in the building. As of October 2007, the entire project was finished, except for the auditorium and two bathrooms (one boys' and one girls'). The auditorium will have a large stage and is expected to be completed by January 2008. Due to the wait for the auditorium, all of the musical concerts have been postponed to late January.

Within new building

The most anticipated (and most expensive) portion of this construction was the new wings: one in the front and one in the back. With the new building, in the front there were two music rooms, one major music room, a new entrance and new main office, and a new auditorium as well as a new media center. In the back, eight new classrooms, two small group instruction rooms, four science classrooms and a teachers workroom on two floors were added.

Problems caused by construction

During the construction, there were several problems encountered by students, teachers, staff, and construction workers. For the beginning of the 2007-2008 school year, the Home Economics classroom was almost empty. On October 11, 2007, a sewer main pipe underneath the rear hallway backed up due to a break in the line causing waste water to spill out of a clean out in the floor which created a foul oder in the hallway and some surrounding classrooms before being cleaned up by the custodial staff, making it hard for students in the area. Throughout the construction, there were four times where the fire alarms went off from a faulty duct detector located in the multi-purpose room.
