Not only did he quote directly from it in his prison writings "Mein Kampf ", but he also approved of a German/Swiss coproduction of the play in whichKarin von Kantzow , mistress and later wife ofHermann Göring , played the role of Tell’s wife,Hedwig .Although Schiller’s play was frequently staged during the
