Taja Kramberger (born
September 11 ,1970 ) is a Slovenepoet , translator, essayist and historicalanthropologist .She was born in
Ljubljana ,Slovenia , and lives in Ljubljana. She is Editor-in-Chief of Monitor ISH-Review of Humanities and Social Sciences. She has fellowships abroad at theÉcole des hautes études en sciences sociales inParis , Collegium Budapest inBudapest , Edition Thanhaeuser inOttensheim ,Austria . She also publishes scientific and literary articles, essays and translations. She has participated at some international colloquia and also collaborated in the organization of some.She published 3 books of poetry:
* "Marcipan "1997 (in Slovene/Marzipan)
* "Spregovori morje" in 1999 (in Slovene/The Sea Says)
* "Gegenstroemung" 2001 (in German, Edition Thanhaeuser, Ottensheim)
* Forthcoming in 2004: a book of poetry in 4 languages (Slovenian, English, French, and Italian), titled "Mobilizacije/Mobilizations/Mobilisations/Mobilitazioni."Her
poem s are translated in 11language s and published in different literary reviews in Slovenia and abroad. She translated intoSlovenian language a book of poetry of Italian poetMichele Obit ("Leta na oknu"), a selection of poetry of Argentinian poetRoberto Juarroz for a book (with an introduction), a book ofGao Xingjian (together with Drago B. Rotar), etc.She was the principal artistic director and coordinator of the 4th International Poets' & Translators' Workshop in
Koper , with 22 participants from 10 European countries ( [http://odkw.fdv.uni-lj.si/mppd/ Website] )The project is travelling aroundEurope . Until now it has stopped in:
* 1999 –Varna ,Bulgaria
* 2000 –Balatonfüred ,Hungary
* 2001 –Topolò ,Italy
