Darashaw is among the oldest, continuously managed brokering and investment banking house in India, founded in 1926. Darashaw had the distinction of being the Sole Broker to the Nizam of Hyderabad, the then single largest player in the capital markets.[2]

Darashaw has the distinction of being the first resource mobilisers and brokers in government securities to be appointed by Reserve Bank of India on the bank's inception in 1938. It is today, a leading broking and investment bank offering an increasing range of services, including consultancy.

The company has its headquarters in Mumbai.[3] It has more than 12 offices nationwide and some international presence.

The company is one of the few companies in the Indian Debt Market and had a dedicated desk for dealing in the debt market.

Darashaw’s business has been structured on Pan National Strategic Business units.

Darashaw provides Employee Benefit Services, encompassing payroll outsourcing, retirement benefits investment intermediation, advisory and consulting.
