Japan ese descent, Robert Ito was, for many years, a dancer with theNational Ballet of Canada before turning to acting in the mid-1960s. With a long list of performing credits to his name, he is probably best known for his seven-year stint as Dr. Sam Fujiyama on the popular TV series "Quincy, M.E. ", oppositeJack Klugman 's title character. Ito played Professor Hikita in the cult film "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension ". He also appeared in the 1976 classic World War II film, "Midway", asMinoru Genda , the leader of the attack on Midway.Robert Ito is also quickly recognized by "
