Josimar, real name Josimar Higino Pereira, (born
september 19 ,1961 inRio de Janeiro ) was afootball (soccer) player fromBrazil . He played right-back mainly withBotafogo de Futebol e Regatas and the Brazilian national team.He is currently assistant coach at Botafogo
His son, Josimar Jr., played for Botafogo youth teams. In the end of 2006, the boy moved to Cruzeiro and then, in mid February 2008, he moved to Vasco by signing a 3 year deal until the end of 2010.
