Liebknecht Range

Liebknecht Range (coord|71|48|S|11|22|E|) is a mountain range, 16 km (10 mi) long, forming the southwest arm of the Humboldt Mountains in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica. Discovered and plotted from air photos by German Antarctic Expedition, 1938-39. Mapped from air photos and surveys by Norwegian Antarctic Expedition, 1956-60; remapped by Soviet Antarctic Expedition, 1960-61, and named after the German revolutionary Karl Liebknecht (1871-1919).
