- Ashikaga Yoshizumi
was the 11th
shogun of theAshikaga shogunate who reigned from 1494 to 1508 during theMuromachi period ofJapan . He was the son ofAshikaga Masatomo and grandson of the sixth shogunAshikaga Yoshinori .Titsingh, Isaac. (1834). Ashikaga Yoshimasa , he was installed byHosokawa Masamoto as "Seii Taishogun". [see above] ] He was stripped of the title in 1508 by the 10th shogunAshikaga Yoshitane , who became shogun for a second period of time.
