- Nottingham-Lincoln Line
The line between Newark and Lincoln is currently only cleared for 60mph running, Nottinghamshire County Council have paid for a study into a 90mph railway. The Nottingham to Lincoln line was opened by the

Passenger services on the line are provided by
East Midlands Trains , normally using Class 156diesel multiple unit s, although at certain times the Class 158 is also used. Many trains on this route run south of Nottingham to/fromLeicester (via theMidland Main Line ). Occasional trains additionally call at Newark North Gate by reversing a short section of theEast Coast Main Line from/to its junction to the north of the station.The line serves the following places.

*Fiskerton
*Rolleston

*LincolnThe service is generally hourly Monday-Saturday with a less frequent service on Sunday. The first trains usually depart on Sundays in either city during Mid Afternoon.
