Street Fighter The SOTA Toys Street Fighter line is unique in that the line-ups for each round are voted on by fans. SOTA has tries to set up the voting so that popular characters are evenly distributed between the rounds of action figures. By delaying the release of the most popular characters, SOTA can produce more figures over a longer period of time, allowing obscure characters that would never sell on their own to be produced.
However, because of constant delays, loss of revenue, and the closure of many retail stores that carry Sota products, Sota Toys will no longer use the voting system for their Street Fighter line. The voting results for Round 6 was thrown out in favor of an internet exclusive series. Round 5 has also been cancelled. However,a new line known as 'Street Fighter Revolution' is set for release in late 2007. This line will be different from the previous line, as the joints will be character specific, the sculpts will be differently styled and the packaging will be improved.
Darkstalkers Darkstalkers will be the first line that Sota will sell only through the official SOTA Web Store in the United States.
As of recent, Sota Toys (under new management) will release two figures per wave. The first wave will consist of Dimitri and Lord Raptor. The first wave has a release date of Spring 2007. According to SOTA, this line has been cancelled due to only selling 1/8th of pre-orders of what they planned
They also produced a resin statue of Felica that will be under the same series as the upcoming Ryu statue.
