International Forestry Resources and Institutions

International Forestry Resources and Institutions (IFRI) is a group that is concerned with the act of and processes that lead to deforestation, and interested in finding institutions that do well in managing forests. They also help policymakers and people who manage forests by informing them about efficient, tested methods. The group was started in 1992 at the Indiana University.

The group has a network of Collaborating Research Centers (CRCs) throughout the world, in places such as Nepal, Uganda and Bolivia.
