Pagwa

Pagwa

Pagwa is a spring festival celebrated on March 26. It is observed in India, Trinidad, Guyana, and many other countries with large Indian populations. It is customary, during Pagwa, to throw coloured powder and even coloured water on acquaintances. While many people will dress in white in honour of the occasion, people will often simply wear old clothes that they can later discard.
