8Legged Entertainment is a website that uses humor and lively animation to bring recipes and food science to a broad audience.
Using bright colors, lively characters, Flash animation, and interactive abilities, the cartoons are referred to as ClickToons. It was founded by Rob DeBorde and Dave O'Neal in 2000.

Tako the Octopus
Tako is a talking octopus that hosts a cooking show presented on the website. He is always subject to some form of torture, be it from falling cows to dead women talking from beyond the grave. His mother is divorced from his father, although she insists his father died. His favorite phrase is "Hello. I'm Tako The Octopus and tonight I'll be cooking your dinner." He has a phobia of electric mixers due to a mishap as a child.
Tako has had many mishaps during his cooking shows, Tako has been eaten by a hungry mutated shrimps, been sent to a hospital because of his mixer phobia, abducted by aliens that nearly ate him, been burned with a red hot beer can, and attacked by an army of angry crabs.
ClickToons
8Legged's ClickToons are interactive Flash cartoons that play in a window while various interactive elements appear either on screen or alongside. A notable ClickToon was Deep Fried Live! 's Deep Fried Turkey game, where, as the show progresses, mini games occur throughout.
Comics
8legged.com also holds many comics based on the exploits of Chef Tako.
Food Science
Chef Tako serves as the humorous guide to scientific explanations of the food and preparation methods shown in each episode of "Deep Fried, Live!" (DFL!). The show's author, Rob DeBorde, continues this food/science theme both as a book author and writer for the Food Network's "Good Eats" show.
