*
Christina Milian ,Dawnn Lewis , andJascha Washington all play small roles in this film. Co-writerTodd Boyd cameos as well, playing the reverend for the wedding ceremony.
*DirectorRick Famuyiwa revealed in an interview at USC, his alma mater, that Paramount executives wanted the character Mike to pinch his girlfriend Alicia's butt in the end scene for added laughs, a request Famuyiwa refused to follow through with. Coincidentally, in the 2003 film "Love Don't Co$t a Thing", the character Alvin pinches his girlfriend Paris' (portrayed byChristina Milian , who played a small role in "The Wood") butt at the end of the movie. It's only coincidence however, as the two films were distributed by different companies.References
