The game was also being developed for theSuper Nintendo Entertainment System , but eventually only the PCCD-ROM version forMS-DOS was released.The game features 8 different characters, eight different arenas, movie
cut scene s, and 40 attacks per fighter. The player selects a character to face against eight of the best fighters in the universe for a prize consisting of the most powerful weapon in the universe.Versions

OEM versions of this title had support for 3D acceleration. These were bundled with 3D

A version for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System was previewed in
Nintendo Power #69 and relied on the Super FX 2 processor to deliver groundbreaking 3D graphics that were otherwise unattainable on 16-bit game platforms at the time. FX Fighter Turbo " is a sequel that was released for the PC in1996 with new characters, moves, environments, costumes, special effects, network play, and support forMicrosoft Windows and theS3 Graphics chipset. As did many other fighting games at the time, FX Fighter Turbo followed suit with the legendary Mortal Kombat by including fatalities, a feature not seen in the previous game.References
