1955 ) is a New York mobster who became of a member of the violent DeMeo crew in theGambino crime family .Born in
Canarsie, Brooklyn , Senter was a nephew of Gambino caporegime Robert Senter. Anthony Senter was considered an handsome man with his dark brown eyes and black wavy hair brushed straight back off his forehead. As a young man, Senter jointed the DeMeo crew. He soon gained a reputation as a sadistic killer who enjoyed mutilating his victims. Senter also gained a reputation for providing the crew with significant revenue fromauto theft . Senter's best friend in the DeMeo crew was mobsterJoseph Testa . Crew members soon dubbed the two mobsters as the Gemini Twins because they enjoyed socializing together at theGemini Lounge in Brooklyn. The DeMeo crew was notorious for their violence, suspected of between 75 to 200 murders through the mid 1970s to the early 1980s.However, not everyone in the crew trusted Senter. Albert DeMeo, the son of
caporegime Roy DeMeo , remarked about Senter that "...there was something slick and phony about him". Senter spent large amounts of money entertaining women and was as allegedly obsessed with his personal appearance. He wore expensive Italian leather slip-on shoes, tailor-made slacks, aRolex watch, a largediamond ring on his Little finger finger, and agold chain with acrucifix around his neck. September 14 ,1989 , Senter was sentenced to life imprisonment. As of June 2008, Senter is serving his sentence at the United States Penitentiary (USP) Allenwood inAllenwood, Pennsylvania . His projected release date is October 13, 2032 though is widely expected to die in prison as release is highly unlikely due to the severity of violence in his crimes.References
