Tamaki River, Tamaki
The suburb of Farm Cove is located in southeastern Auckland, New Zealand. In Farm Cove, there are two main schools; Wakaaranga Primary School and Farm Cove Intermediate. Wakaaranga Creek is a small river that runs through Farm Cove, which comes out of the Tamaki Estuary. The maori word 'Wakaaranga' means 'canoe resting place' because the Maoris used to leave their canoes (wakas) in the creek for a rest, but that isn't possible now because it is filled in with mangroves.
