The Gold Coast Institute of TAFE is the Gold Coast branch of the Technical and Further Education in Queensland. It consists of the campuses Southport, Ashmore (actually in Benowa), Ridgeway (named for Ridgeway Avenue, Southport), Coomera and Coolangatta.

Gold Coast Institute of TAFE (GCIT) is one of Australia’s leading vocational education and training facilities and the largest on the Gold Coast with five campuses and enrolments of over 16,000 students annually.

Gold Coast Institute of TAFE’s training quality was awarded the best in Queensland in 2007 (Queensland Training Awards) so students can be assured that their future is in secure hands.

An extensive range of programs are on offer including short courses, Certificates, Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas are on offer, allowing students to study an industry area that interests them, in a delivery mode that suits their lifestyle. These programs have been designed in close consultation with business and industry.

When students complete their studies with us, they will have the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure a competitive advantage when entering the workforce or moving onto further education. Whether a student joins Gold Coast Institute of TAFE straight from school or after years in the workforce, we will work with them in the pursuit of their goals.
