Movement for National Development

The Movement for National Development (MND) is a political party in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. The party claims to be based on a philosophy of social democracy. It was launched on October 30, 2005. Its leader is lawyer and former People's National Movement councillor of Moka/Boissierre and then United National Congress activist Garvin Nicholas. Its symbol is a bridge.

At its launch the party declared itself committed to decentralising government services, improving health care and education, combatting crime, reducing traffic fatalities and elimination of excessive government secrecy.

Other executive members include Deputy Leader Mandavi Tiwary, attorney at law; Chairman Rejendra Arjoon, businessman; Deputy Chairman Troy Alcantara, businessman; General Secretary Diana John, manager of an NGO; and Youth Officer Stacy-Anne La Roche, manager.
