On July 23rd, 2008, the DC-3 registered N131FS experienced an engine fire while taxiing at
Cyril E. King Airport ,St. Thomas ,U.S. Virgin Islands . A preliminaryFederal Aviation Administration report about the incident stated that the aircraft exited to the ramp at the departure end of the runway and reported a left engine on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished by airport firefighters and no one was injured..The extend of the damage to the DC-3 which was manufactured in 1944, was listed as "unknown" in the FAA preliminary report.References
