Flight Alaska is an American cargo airline based in Anchorage, Alaska, USA. It operates scheduled services to over 70 villages in Alaska and also provides charter services throughout Alaska. Its main base is Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.

History

The airline began flying from Dillingham, Alaska in the mid-1950s as Bob Harris Flying Services. It was later renamed Yute Air Alaska. In 1999 Yute Air filed for bankruptcy and the company and operating certificate were acquired by the Flight International Group in April 2000 and renamed Flight Alaska.

Flight Alaska operates services to the following domestic scheduled destinations (at January 2005): Aniak, Bethel, Chefornak, Chevak, Dillingham, Eek, Goodnews Bay, Hooper Bay, Kipnuk, Kongiganak, Kotzebue, Kwigillingok, Marshall, Newtok, Nightmute, Platinum, Quinhagak, Scammon Bay, Toksook Bay, Tuntutuliak and Tununak.

Fleet

The Flight Alaska fleet consists of Cessna 207 and Cessna 207A aircraft (at January 2005).
