Datawrite, formed in 1992, is a major importer and distibutor to the UK of blank CD and DVD media. They sell CDs manufactured by many different companies, but branded with their own labels: Data-safe, Datawrite, Titanium. They also supply USB Pen Dives, Media Carry Caes, Press Kits, Memory Cards, Disk Magagement Systems and Marker Pens, among other items. Datawrite is a UK-based version of Data-safe Media.
There was some criticism during 2006 that a very popular DVD-R sold under the Datawrite Titanium brand, underwent a cost-cutting exercise in which the packaging, disk edge and writing performance were all altered while the branding remained unchanged.[citation needed]
