Yasmine Pahlavi, Crown Princess of Iran

Yasmine Pahlavi (née Amini, 26 June 1968) is the wife of Reza Pahlavi, the former crown prince and current heir to the throne of Iran.

By pre-revolution rules, she would be Shahbanu (Empress) and would be styled "Her Imperial Majesty". However, she does not use nor has claimed this style or title, which has been abolished, as have all Iranian imperial distinctions.

Career

She is a graduate of the The George Washington University Law School and currently works for the Children's Law Center in Washington, DC.She is one of the Founders and Directors of the Foundation for the Children of Iran. Started in 1991, the Foundation's mission is to marshall the considerable resources and goodwill of the Iranian diaspora coupled with remarkable expertise and generosity of the American medical community to treat Iranian children suffering from complex medical conditions. Organized under the 501(c)(3) rules of Internal Revenue Service the Foundation has faithfully fulfilled its mission restoring the health and quality of life of scores of Iranian children regardless of race, religion, or political affiliations.

Marriage & Children

Yasmine married Crown Prince of Iran, Reza Pahlavi on June 12th 1986, and the couple have three daughters:

#Princess Noor, born 3 April 1992
#Princess Iman, born 12 September 1993
#Princess Farah, born 17 January 2004

The family currently resides in Potomac, Maryland.

*She was awarded the Royal Order of the Drum by King Kigeli V of Rwanda.
