September 7 ,1976 ) is an Australian football (soccer) player who formerly played as a central midfielder for the ALeague NZK and ALeague QR.Fitzsimmons was signed by the foundation A-League club ALeague NZK for the inaugural year of the A-League in what was a largely unsuccessful year for the club. The ALeague NZK were dissolved for season two prompting Fitzsimmons's move to the ALeague QR for the 2006-2007 season. He subsequently made a solitary appearance during that season before being released at its conclusion.
This looked to spell the end to Steve's national league career as he went on to play for
Brisbane Premier League side Palm Beach SC. The following year he moved toBeenleigh Football Club in theBrisbane Premier League Division 1 where he enjoyed a successful season playing 24 games for the club scoring 7 times including an important goal the club's Grand Final win againstCapalaba Football Club .
