- Lonnie Chapin
Lonnie James Chapin (born
May 7 ,1970 ) was formerly thebass guitar ist ofChristian rock band Tait. His younger brother, Chad, is the currentdrummer of the band. His hometown isBend, Oregon . He was also the bassist for the legendaryChristian rock band Petra from1997 to2001 before joining Tait.
=Lonnie with Petra=Lonnie joined Petra in
1997 , replacing Ronny Cates. He helped record some of the bass for Petra's secondpraise album, "". After that, he immersed with the band in the creation of their next studio album. Along with fellow newcomers to the band,Pete Orta andKevin Brandow , he contributed (along with Petra's founder and songwriter,Bob Hartman ) to the songwriting of Petra's album "God Fixation " in1998 . After Petra's2000 album, "Double Take" he left to join TAIT.
=Lonnie with Tait=Lonnie was invited to audition for Tait by his brother, Chad. When Michael listened to him, he liked it so much that he asked him immediately to stay in the band. He remained in the band until 2004.
