Kakhandaki is a village in Karnataka, India. It is located 32 km from Bijapur. There is a temple of a Swami named 'Mahipati'.

This place is famous for Shri. Mahipati Rayara Vrundaavana and the Aaradhane festival happens on Chchatti Amavasya of every year.

Surname Kakhandaki : This surname belongs to people from North Karnataka whose ancestors once would have lived in Kakhandaki village. People from all religions and castes can have a surname called Kakhandaki. There are Hindu Brahmins, Lingayats, Muslims and Christians having this surname. There is a big Kakhandaki clan who lived in Bagalkot town in North Karnataka. Their ancestry reads back up to Prassana Venkata Dasaru who attained sainthood or moksha about 200 years back. There is still an annual Prassana Venkata dasaru Araadhani which conducted towards September every year and is attended by majority of the clan and is supported by other relatives of the clan. After the submergence of the ancestral house of Shri Prasanna Venkata Dasaru at Killa Bagalkot, the annual aradhani is now being performed by Colonel(Retired) Anant.B.Kakhandaki. It is attended by large number of followers.
