Brett Smiley

Brett Smiley is an American singer who was active in the UK during the glam rock era of the early 1970s. Smiley released two singles called "Va Va Va voom" and "Space Ace" and made an appearance on the Russell Harty television Show. Smiley started off his career as a Broadway actor, playing Oliver on Broadway when he was a child. In 1974, Smiley recorded an album that was unreleased until 2004 when RPM Records included it as part of their Lipsmackin' 70s collection. This album, titled "Breathlessly Brett", contains "Va Va Va Voom" and "Space Ace." Smiley was managed by The Rolling Stones' manager Andrew Loog Oldham. In 2004, Nina Antonia wrote a book about Smiley titled "The Prettiest Star: Whatever Happened to Brett Smiley". Smiley performs in New York City.
