- Shing Mun Tunnels
Shing Mun Tunnels (zh-tspcy|t=城門隧道|s=城门隧道|p=Chéngmén Suìdào|cy=sing4 mun4 seui6 dou6) connects the
new towns ofTsuen Wan to the west andSha Tin in the easternNew Territories ofHong Kong . It is part of Route 9. Opened in 1990, it is made up of two sections, rach with twin 2-lane tunnels (one each way). The westerly pair passes throughMa Tsz Keng (Smuggler's Ridge ) nearShing Mun Reservoir , where it gets its name from; the easterly pair passes throughCham Shan (Needle Hill ) and is linked to the westerly pair by two viaducts overLower Shing Mun Reservoir . Thetoll plaza and bus interchange is located outside the Tsuen Wan end of the tunnel.The tunnel leads to
Cheung Pei Shan Road and connectsWo Yi Hop Interchange in Tsuen Wan, andShing Mun Tunnel Road in the east which linksTai Wai Road and ends atTai Po Road .ee also
